Plano City Councilwoman Lily Bao is running for Mayor of Plano to Keep Plano Safe and preserve Plano as a City of Excellence.
Lily is a loving and devoted wife and mother to four beautiful girls who have benefited greatly from the excellence of PISD. Quality education for her children is a top priority for her family and her kids understand the value of family, hard-work and perseverance.
Lily is a leader in her community and has a heart for service. She has received the “Fred & Mazzie Moses Community Engagement Award”. She has also served on the Collin County Myers Park & Event Center Advisory Board, the Plano Housing Authority Advisory Board, and Plano ISD Diversity Advisory Committee. Lily served as a PTA Officer for three consecutive years from 2015-2018. She is a member of Plano Chamber of Commerce as well as Collin County Association of Realtors.
Lily loves our Constitution and appreciates deeply the freedom our great nation provides. She was baptized on Thanksgiving Day in 1996 while working as an IT professional. Lily and her family attend Collin County Chinese Fellowship Church in north Plano. She serves our next generation as a Sunday School and Awana program teacher.
Lily is a proud Texan. She loves everything that Plano has to offer: a diverse community, great public safety, quality education and a safe place to live, work, raise a family and start a business.
She truly embodies the American dream. Lily received her B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from UMass-Dartmouth with Summa Cum Laude honors. She then obtained a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University.
Lily is currently a successful small business owner and residential real estate professional in the North Texas region.
